                         Mark Hancock - Business Manager
                        Alice Hancock - Building Superintendent

Mark Hancock is our Business Manager.  His job is to make sure the administrative operations of the church run smoothly, so that our pastoral staff can focus on our spiritual development and the ministries of our church.

Mark’s varied background as entrepreneur and business owner for over 20 years provided him with the necessary background and skill sets he needed for his present position.  As the creator and operator of Fort Worth’s first commercial bed & breakfast for 12 years, Mark learned several practical approaches to the art of blending hospitality, service, marketing and business administration.  As the former owner of a truck brokerage business for 15 years, he learned to merge logistics with integrity while keeping track of the cash flow.  And as a commercial real estate appraiser for 10 years and an urban planning consultant for 3 years (in his more youthful days), he learned how to help translate vision and dreams to real-world concepts.  Mark likes to consider himself the “Business Minister” for the church family, helping the congregation’s stewardship of their financial resources result in effective connectional ministry.

Alice is the church’s Building Superintendent.  which means she has primary responsibility to see that the building and grounds are well-maintained and hospitable for members and guests alike. Alice could be the combined personalities of the Biblical Mary and Martha in the fulfillment of her tasks: her love for her Lord – reflected in her 35-plus years of active and involved membership at Richland Hills UMC – manifests itself in her servant attitude toward keeping the facility in beautiful condition. Mark and Alice are married and they have a combined family of five children – two of whom are married and have blessed Mark & Alice with a total of four beautiful grandchildren. “God has been in the details of our life,” says Mark. .
